Yes, when your card is added into your device’s digital wallet, a tokenization process encrypts the data sent over the network. This process provides an extra layer of security when making purchases.
I’ve lost my card and need to make a purchase. Can I use digital wallet to do so?
Yes. In the event of a lost or compromised card, follow the normal process flow of flagging your card as lost in the UCU mobile app. Once complete, your new card number will appear in mobile banking within 1-2 days. Once it appears, you can add your new card to a digital wallet and begin transacting immediately, even prior to activating or receiving your new physical card.
What card types can I add to my digital wallet?
You can add your UCU debit card to your digital wallet.
Can I add more than one card to my digital wallet?
Yes, you can add multiple UCU cards to your digital wallet.
I’ve tried adding my card to the digital wallet but it’s asking me to send a verification code to a phone number or email I don’t recognize.
The phone number or email utilized in digital wallet verification will correlate to the ones you have on file for your respective Apple or Google accounts. Please note that these may differ from the ones you use for your University Credit Union account.
How do I order a replacement debit card?
To request a replacement debit card, tap on the checking share linked to your debit card. Navigate to and tap the 'Card Manager' link. Locate and select the 'Request a New Card' option. The new card order request will be processed on the next business day, and the new debit card will be shipped to the mailing address on file within 7 to 10 business days.
Debit cards are eligible to receive a digitally issued card that can be added to your Google or Apple Wallet one business day after the new debit card order is placed. This digital card can be used for purchases both before and after your physical card is received and activated.
